Franklin/Kane Urushi Black
Widow
The Urushi Black Widow was conceived by S.C. Franklin, who worked collaboratively in the design with Goldsmith/Designer Kane Boutry. A complicated overlay, Kane worked tirelessly to perfect this masterpiece of artistry. The base fountain pen is a black Namiki Urushi Emperor with 16 coats of Urushi lacquer. The nib is 18K gold, with an eyedropper filling system. The spider web overlay is made of solid sterling silver, while the spiders are of solid 18K Rose gold. The female Black Widow on the barrel of the pen has authentic triangular rubies cut into it to indicate the red hourglass underside of the female. She in on her way to eat the male, now having mated, who resides on the cap and functions as the clip of the pen. 251 pieces for worldwide
